A win for Houston locks up a home playoff game, and the Vipers have been eliminated from playoff contention. However, Vegas gave St. Louis a run for its money last weekend, so this one will likely be close. Houston comes out on top.

Orlando Guardians (1-7) vs. San Antonio Brahmas (2-6)

The Brahmas are clinging to a very slight playoff spot this weekend. The Brahmas need to win out and for Arlington to lose out to make the playoffs. The fact that league-leading wide receiver Cody Latimer will not play for the Guardians bodes well for the Brahmas.
The Pick: San Antonio 22, Orlando 18
Arlington Renegades (4-4) vs. DC Defenders (7-1)
SUNDAY, APR 16

A win in this game is significant for either team. For Arlington, a win gets the final playoff spot in the South. For DC, a win guarantees a home playoff game as the number one seed in the North. DC will be playing in front of a raucous, sellout crowd for the first time this season. The beer snake will likely be in full effect on a warm spring day as well. All of this points to a DC victory. The fact that Arlington is still averaging the lowest offensive per game total of any team in the XFL does not help the Renegade cause either. Arlington defense will keep it close.

Seattle Sea Dragons (5-3) vs. St. Louis Battlehawks (6-2)

It is a shame that one of these two teams will miss the postseason this year. St. Louis and Seattle have been two of the most fun to watch teams in the league this year. The Battlehawks have a huge crowd behind them this weekend, but a Sea Dragon upset is in order for this week.
